Introduction

Just six months ago, no one could have predicted the unprecedented impact of COVID-19 on the lives of millions. The global pandemic has affected each and every one of us, in one way or another. As we all pass through consecutive ‘unlock’ phases, it is imperative we take stock, adopt the new normal, repair and restart the healing and rebuilding process.

The Airtel Delhi Half Marathon, since its inception, has held India’s flag high; representing its sporting spirit, humanity and generosity. The world’s most prestigious half marathon has consistently pushed the citizenry to conquer seemingly impossible limits and birth incredible stories - bringing out the Gold in Humanity! Supporting the idea of ‘Run for a Cause’, it lends an opportunity to all Civil Society Organisations (CSOs/ NGOs) to ‘raise friends and therefore raise funds. This year is the 16th edition of the Event, and 13th edition under the title sponsorship of Bharti Airtel.

Humanity in the year 2020 has been tested, and it is time to rise to the clarion call for Resurgence. Resurgence of spirit, hope and belief. There is no denying the power of sport to inspire the citizenry, raise funds and bring civil society together. In order to enable fundraising at the back of ADHM, India Cares Foundation and Procam International have formulated a Philanthropy Structure which guides all – CSOs, individuals and companies – in their fundraising endeavors.

“Act as if what you do makes a difference, because It does.” ~ William James celebrated American Philosopher.

ABOUT INDIA CARES FOUNDATION

India Cares Foundation (‘India Cares’) believe CSOs contribute to building a more humane society. India Cares started in Bengaluru in the year 2000 with a small group of individuals coming together who wished to help CSOs build bridges with companies and the government. They first worked in and around Bengaluru as ‘Bangalore Cares’. In 2014, it changed its name to ‘India Cares Foundation’ (IcFn).
